Subject files, 1973-1982.

The subject files consists of correspondence, memoranda, reports, statistical data, draft budget proposals, material on pending legislation, clippings, and other documents relating to state aid to public elementary and secondary schools in New York State. There is also considerable information on local school taxes. They are divided roughly by budget year or years, but there is no arrangement beyond that. Subjects are indicated on folder tabs. Boxes 15 - 18 in this series contain ring binders of memoranda, budget proposals, and computerized statistical tabulations relating to school aid. Box 19 contains files and binders of correspondence and reports compiled by Miss Wilson when she was Deputy Secretary to the Governor and Special Assistant for Education in the Executive Chamber.

Wilson, who was Deputy Secretary to the Governor and Special Assistant for Education in the Executive Chamber (1973-1975), and an Assistant Chief Budget Examiner in the Division of the Budget (1975 - 1983).
